Its been a while~ lets catch up

My semester at school is wrapping up, I have only 2 finals left then I can relax. Well I will still be working but you know.

I am still feeling pretty lonely and missing Tim a lot and missing my mom as well. In an effort to meet new people and branch out I have made both a plenty of fish account and a meet me account. 
I kinda made one cool friend. I met a 25 yr old who seems decent but in my heart I feel 25 is to young to have as a bf. But I don't think I am actually ready for a boyfriend per say. I just need someone to hang with, do stuff with, yeah maybe eventually there can be more. But either way these sites are not really doing well. Mostly I have come across whack a doo's

tough times October 7 2012 Rest In Peace my sunshine

 My best friend whom I actually refer to as my soul friend passed
away suddenly on October 4 and I am devastated.
Tim Cannon walked into my life almost 5 years ago we clicked and became best friends, we knew all of each others secrets. We always talked for hours on end. When I met Tim I suffered from severe low self esteem but he made me feel beautiful and Loved and he tfouched my heart after I had it closed off, He broke the wall that I build around my self. I wake up daily wishing it was all just a nightmare.



 Everyone Tim had knew whether it was a passing moment at one of his gigs or if you were lucky to be his friend, and man he has an abundance of friends who are grieving for this wonderfull man who I am honored to call my soul friend because he has a piece of my soul and I have a piece of his. He was a multi talented musician and a great friend, brother, son, and uncle

But yesterday I had a moment of serenety this is what I exerienced:


I had an experience today and it really brought me peace, initially early this morning I got a text and woke up thinking it was a text from Tim, maybe I was dreaming of him? I cried, didn't want to do anything but had to go out. so anyways I am driving in my car and for a half hour straight I heard songs that tim did for covers, seriously this has never happened and I have this station on everyday, last song was don't stop believing, anyways I get out of my car and realize its a sunny day and its been crappy a week now and it was weird it was like clouds parted and the sun was shining at me, then I had the weirdest feeling like someone was touchin my skin and got this instant peace and serene feeling, I felt him with me and had this thought he once told me we would be friends forever and I know he is here with me in my heart everyday and all afternoon I felt so much better, shared this with his sister and brother, i had the thought he is happy he is with his dad and still with us, it was an amazin experience

Well I haven't posted because I have been so busy with work, school,kids, fitting in my physical therapy and so on my home scale I have maintained last 2 weeks. The weight loss clinic I have maintained a loss but the number their is higher, mostly because at home I weigh in naked and obviously I am lothed there and its usually after I have eaten, last week I was 303.4 but still 299 on my home scale. I haven't made it to the gym regularly either so that is probably why.

At the weight loss clinic they are happy with my weight loss because they don't count from 322 but I think 312 when I started I am down 9.1 lbs.  I need to re commit to the Gym even its waking early. I do want to buy a home elliptical for AM workouts though. I still do cardio with walking and such but no strength training all week, and that I need.

Thursday Weigh in~ September 13,2012

 I was a little worried because last week the day before my weigh in I had all those tests and when I weighed in I was up like 6lbs so I did not record it because I knew it wasn't something I did wrong, had I recorded it I would be -8.6 this week, but I am continuing from the prior weight of 302, and now I am 299.4 down 2.6 and ou of the 300's and I never want to go back to 300 land. I am in 200 land now and traveling to ONEderland. Which is my goal and where I wish to stay. So I have now lost 22.6 pounds here is an updated pic
Maybe I should have taken the pic with the same clothes but it is what it is the above photo the pants are size 26 and the lower photo pants are size 22

Getting a little behind on here..so catching up

So last week I had all the tests I posted about on Wednesday plus that was my first day of this semester. On Friday I had a second Cervical biopsy in needed to be further in and man did it hurt, but got the call a couple hours ago that it was all normal. Thank Goodness! I have been worried because at one point my mom had uterine Cancer.
 
I have been exercising pretty regularly and pretty on track with my food so hopefully this week I lose some weight. On Sunday I did a walk for a cause stepping out for a cure for the Scleroderma Foundation, I was a part of Team Krissy, to support my friend Krissy who has Scleroderma, It was a three mile walk after the second mile was complete I thought I might die, but slow and steady I finished it with my little princess who ended up with a ride in a stroller.

Yesterday I walked 25 minuted and went to the gym for strength exercises and even got a free chair massage! that was so nice, I also had my follow up with the podiatrist and he is setting me up with PT for my foot, and a new medication.

Today after work I went to the gym to try Spin class about 30 mins through I thought I was gonna die, I felt like I was gonna vomit so I stopped and rested, then I got light headed and shaky. So I had some orange juice and started feeling better.

Now I have gotta get started on a boat load of homework

post poning weigh in this week

I had a battery of tests at the hospital yesterday, in which I had to fast for, so yesterdays eating was whacked. Anyways so my appointment was at Lowell General Hospital which is about 30 minutes away so I gave my self 45 minutes, well guess what road work in front on UMass Lowell kept me at a stand still for 45 minutes, so finally I call the Hospital at 8:04 as I was 34 minutes late by this point and explained what happened, so they just rearranged my tests I was supposed to have an echo cardiogram at 7:30 but they said do the other tests first then see them. This all should have been done by 9:30 but I didn't get out of there till 11 and I was Hungry, it was also my 1st day of classes missed my 1st one. so anyways these are tests I had:
Abdominal Ultrasound
Chest X ray
Upper GI (ugh barium and I am bloated and why I am post poning weigh in)
ECHO
EKG 
blood work for various
and last urine test.

my babygirl had to have Upper GI when she was a baby and man now I feel so bad for her (she had GERD but has mostly grown out of it than goodness)

So I think I want to wait this my bloat is gone from the barium

Tomorrow I have another cervical biopsy please keep me in thoughts

Babygirl starts Kindergarten

My baby-girl is getting so big, She started Kindergarten today she will be 6 in November but she missed the cutoff to start last year. She will also being going to before and after school program because even full day Kindergarten is not long enough for my day with school and work. This public school requires uniforms this tshirt with tan or navy bottoms. there is a polo shirt too that is navy. There are also sweatshirts but I haven't bought one yet. At the bottom is her 1st day of public preschool, her colorful style has been muted by the uniform that I dislike.


I myself start my semester at school tomorrow
this semester I have biology and lab, World History 102, a Psychology class and one of my Social Work Classes My major is SW but I am looking into getting a minor in special education.

Thursday Weigh in~ August 29 2012

Well I lost 0.8 this week, not quite a pound but that is okay I will take any loss. This week I only worked out twice because of my Plantar Fasciitis bothering my foot so much, which is not an excuse I should have swam at the Y on those days. but my total weight loss is now 20 pounds, maybe next week will bring me into the 200's and out of the 300's.

Thursday Weigh In~ August 24, 2012

So I have been at this trying to lose weight for two months now as I started in earnest on June 24, 2012. I started to Journal what I eat on MyFitnessPal, also started up at the YMCA to exercise, in the beginning I did not last very long with cardio and now I can do a 55 minute Zumba class, I can walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. So my goal was to try and lose 20 pounds by today, well I didn't quite hit 20, maybe because I haven't made it to the gym since Saturday. I have done some walking and some other activity but not like I do at the gym. But as of today I am down 19.2 pounds so I am not that far off my goal. My other small goal is to be out of the 300's and that is close.Maybe next week or the week after if I don't hit the dreaded plateau. I will make it to the gym today after work, that is a promise. This weeks loss was 1.4 as I said making the total 19.2

My Thursday weigh in two days to late

I did wake up in the morning on Thursday and weigh myself as usual, However I never got a chance to write a post about it because first I went to work, then while working got a call from daycare so I had to get my little princess and bring her to her brother and get back to work, then Friday I was super busy too!
So anyways on Thursday August 16, 2012 when I stood on the scale I had lost 2.8 lbs and now down 17.8 lbs .. I am very close to being out of the 300's. The scale says 304.2, at this time I will most likely be at my 1st mini goal in a couple weeks which is to say good bye to the 300's forever.

Measurements

Even though I took measurements before, I decided to keep track of them on here so in about a month  I will measure again. So even though with previous measurements I was 7 inches lost I am going to start over with these previously I didn't measure my calf. so that one is fresh today, the jeans I wear at the moment are womans 24's. Just so that is noted as well, a few weeks ago they didn't fit and couldn't button now they are comfortable. I can almost get my 22's buttoned now as well.

FMM In The Kitchen~ August 13, 2012

I ate under calories this weekend but have not made it to the gym at all, I did walk some around the beach on Saturday but didn't use my app to track it, on Friday I walked a half mile before the heavens opened up and poured on me, today I only work 2 1/2 hours so I will have plenty of gym time and to my strength exercises, need to do some food shopping today too








In the Kitchen


1. How often do you cook at home? I’m so busy with school and work I really don't but I am trying recently I did chili using turkey instead of beef and made pork tenderloins in the slow cooker
2. Do you eat more fresh produce, frozen or canned produce? I like fresh best and when I know I am cooking right away that's what I buy, but canned lasts, and I do not like frozen
3. What are a few unusual staples that can always be found in your kitchen?  I have whey protein this is new as I replace one meal with protein drink
4. Look in your fridge, then tell us about the healthiest thing in there.  cucumbers, peppers tomatos
5. Now share the most unhealthy thing in it.  ramen noodles
6. Do you eat leftovers? sometimes
7. Do you use coupons at the supermarket? not really
8. How often do you try new recipes? I adjusted my chili recipe and added ground turkey instead

Today I will be weighing in twice and I am sure it will vary because I just weighed myself in my birthday suit, which is how I weigh myself at home and I am down 2.4 lbs with a total of 15 lbs lost.

At about 5 pm I have an appointment at the weight-loss clinic for a nutrition class, and because I have to weigh in weekly there and I am not going to drive there 2 times this week just for a morning weigh in. Either way the numbers different because of clothing but it will also be after I have eaten I will update what that scale says later on and also any activity I get in today

The scale at the WLC said 309 from their scale it still reflects a 2.5 weight loss. 
I went to the gym last night at 7pm, I made it 30 minutes on the elliptical for the 1st time ever, then I did 5 minutes on the stair-climber and 10 minutes on the bike

last 40 days positives and todays workout

I have given up my favorite soft drink Coca Cola Classic

I use Truvia or Stevia in the raw instead of sugar in my tea

I have slowly switched myself from 2% milk to skim milk

I use correct portions, I still have pizza but I eat it in moderation and have salad with it.

I drink alot of water at least 6 6 oz glasses a day.

I have been exercising regularly both cardio and strength

I went to a group exercise class last night something in the past I said I would not do, I lasted the whole 55 minutes of Zumba class.

I went from 10 minutes a day of cardio to like 25-30 minutes.

I have lost 7 inches off my body and 12.6 lbs so far, more to come folks.

Someone told me my face was thinner last weekend great non scale victory.

I can walk a mile and not feel like I am dying

Today I went up a flight of stairs without getting winded, I was wowed by this and I did not take the elevator, yay me!

my pants are getting looser which were previously barely buttoning and I can almost get the smaller size on just not quite buttoned.

I am thankful for the support I get from Myfitnesspal friends, my IRD friends, and some close friends. And most of all from the Angel on my shoulder MY MOM I LOVE YOU And miss you so much but you and my kiddos are my greatest motivators!

Today I had a day off so I spent some time in the gym kinda as my last chance workout as they say on the biggest loser.

Today I did 15 minutes on a stepper machine

25 minutes of strength exercises

40 crunch's

30 90 degree reverse crunch's

20 minutes on the elliptical (longest time yet)

then after the gym I went on a 25 minute walk 

today was a good fitness day.

Tomorrow after work I wanna get in some cardio. I need to weigh in at the nutritionists office, though i do my own weigh in in the am with no clothing obviously that weigh it will be with clothing and in the afternoon so I am sure it will vary

Chuck E Cheese Today

My friends sons birthday party is being held at Chuck E Cheese today so that is where I will be this afternoon. I am working 8 to 11 then I have to come home and pick up my little princess and bring her to the birthday party. We will be late because the party starts at 11 and that is when I get out of work.

Yesterday I went to the gym and did some stair climbing then my strength workout and last a walk on the treadmill, the day before I did 35 minutes of various cardio.

I want to try to get my self up to 30 minutes of cardio when I do the strength exerises and and 1 hour on the days that I don't. But I am doing babysteps and doing what I can.

Weigh in Thursday~ August 2, 2012

Yesterday was a rainy day and I am bummed out that I didn't get to walk as I have been doing the last couple of days, I had a long day and also didn't make it to the gym. I want to get an elliptical or a treadmill for home on days I can't make it to the gym and the weather screws me up as well. I am not really a video person either I need to be at a gym. Either way I am still doing okay and I lost 1.4 lbs this week bringing the total to 12.6 lbs lost, I really can't wait to lost 10 lbs so I will be out of the 300's. The 300's are a very scarey place to me.

On another note my cervical biopsy was normal but I guess I have abnormal glandular cells so they need to do some other test.

Fire alarm and a work out

Today I got my strength exercises in, today was a focus on the lower body.
Before the workout I did 10 minutes on the elliptical
Started on my strength exercises and then the fire alarm sounded so we had to go outside for like 15 minutes. When we were told we could go back inside I continued with my workout and ended it with 10 minutes on the exercise bike. I came home for lunch and then I had one more client for the day, after work I went to the stadium and walked a mile in 25 minutes. Today I burned 480 calories

Yesterday the gym was closed due to renovations which is the reason I went for strength exercises today on my break from work.
so, yesterday I took two walks before and after work I walked 0.8 of a mile both times in 20 minutes. Yesterday I burned 269 calories.

Blah is me...

Feeling so blah and tired, work really wears me out.
soon I will only be working 3 days a week again because I will be in school 3 days a week again.

So on Saturday I did my strength exercises because Friday I was just not feeling it. But it was 3 days last week and that is my goal.

Yesterday I tried tae bo and only made it through five minutes, I guess that is how it is when you wait until after work, I would prefer to swim on Sunday but I worked through the only lap time at the YMCA, I did walk 15 minutes as well. so I did burn about 230 calories yesterday, I also felt so hungry yesterday still ate under calorie though.


Today the fitness center at the YMCA is closed because they are renovating. Gonna try the midday or night swim time, night is bad because half pool is family swim and half is lap swim so hard to get laps with so many people in the pool but I will do some sort of activity even if its just walking today.

WLS Appt and Gym Time

Today I went for my appointment with the bariatric team, I am still so unsure of how I feel about the whole gastric bypass surgery thing. I did tell them I do not want the surgery (if I do have it) until my semester at school is over, so December. The scale there says I weigh 312.5. and that I need to lose 5% for surgery which is 297.4. I weigh myself on my scale tomorrow will see what that says if its 312.5 I only lost .1 this week. If so I think its due to salt as I was eating honey ham( I meant honey turkey my bad). 

Anyways at the appointment I met with a nurse who weighed me and took my vitals. Then I met with a nurse practitioner who went over my history, then an initial appointment with a nutritionist whom I will follow up with in like 8 weeks,I will be attending a nutrition class on August 9. There are so many things needed and I have appointments for. I have to have an upper GI, and some other tests and meet with a cardiologist as well, after the tests I meet the surgeon. I have to go to this place weekly to weigh in, and monthly to attend groups, I need 6 groups to qualify for th surgery. I have an appointment with with a psychologist.


At the end I met with a patient advocate, she told me I am not locked into anything if I decide against surgery that is okay. But she said it can't hurt to follow through with the appointments. So that is where I am at this time.


Today I made it to the gym this afternoon and did my activtrax workout, and 15 minutes of cardio, the treadmills were out of commission because they are painting so I just can't make 30 minutes or even 20 on the elliptical yet.

Because when school starts I do a lot of walking and I mean A-LOT. So it would be good to keep track. The website says:

Did not want to wake up this morning!!!

I was planning on going to the YMCA early and do laps but when the alarm went off at 5 I shut it off and woke up instead at 7, but I did have a break and in coincided with lap swim time so I swam for half an hour and burned 455 calories.

I work for home health are which I think I have mentioned previously, anyways did housework for some of my clients and I sweated my but off in their 1000 degree houses because they don't use air conditioning, so I am sure I burned more calories. I ate 1276 calories today.

tomorrow I have a consult with WLS team, hoping I lose enough weight so that I do not have to do this but I am having a consult as my primary doctor suggested.

The Gym and Car inspection completed!

Today I had the day off so I went and brought Babygirl to breakfast then to school (daycare)

came home did some laundry, went to the gym did 25 minutes of cardio and my strength exercises


Then I went to get the car inspection, In Massachusetts must do this yearly and when you purchase a vehicle.

Then to but some veggies from the store, I also bought some Asian stir fry veggies to try out I don't much like frozen veggies but I will give it a try

New Weigh in Day ~ Thursday July 19, 2012 and other things

Boy oh Boy was today busy!! Whew!!

This morning I was planning on swimming because I knew I would not have gym time this afternoon, set the alarm for 5:30 am and hit snooze a zillion times. Did.Not.Want.To.Get.Up. anyways at 6:30 I arose and decided today would be my new weigh in day. I stood on the scale and it said 313.0, I lost 2.4 since Sunday. Yay that makes me down 9 lbs now. I wanted to be 10 lbs down by the 21st for my nieces wedding so I am close, maybe I will lose a lb by sat but I don't care its all good!!

So the stats:

315.4 -1.0
313.0- 2.2 for a total of 9 lbs lost

Anyways back the topic of swimming I swam for 40 minutes and burned 669 calories, then worked 9-3:30 supposed to be 5 but my last client cancelled.


So on the agenda tomorrow, try to get to the gym for 8 am and do strength exercises, to the gyn at 10 am I have to have a cervical biopsy, then 1pm to the back to sign for my auto loan, after that to pick up this baby!! 
 





Then I bought a new car-seat for the new car for Ms Thing!

back into the groove

only did 15 minutes of cardio today at the gym still feeling sick.
10 minute warm up on treadmill and 5 minute cool down on the elliptical..burned 178 calories

Strength exercises today included 8 machines
calf raises and 4 different style crunches was 35 minutes of resistance. so all together between crunches and strength and cardio my workout was about an hour long.


Today I found out that I got approved for the auto loan
 This badboy will be mine soon, just waiting on paperwork
















Told them at work no more nights it was wearing me out

Blah

I am sick and I hate it, started not feeling well Sunday night. Monday morning my throat was big and swollen I went to my 1st client, thankfully they were not home and I scattered my clients into the week and took yesterday off and slept all day long, dosing on Dayquil and Robitussin, felt slightly better today but after a few hours working felt crappy again,  called the doctor got an appointment for 4pm after work. They did a rapid strep test but that was negative, they believe it is allergies and a nasal drip, my throat kills and I am coughing. I am about to take nyquil and go to bed.

No workouts 2 days, lots of soup and Popsicle's  hoping its a better day tomorrow I really want to get back to the gym routine.

Sunday Weigh In- July 14, 2012

This morning when I stepped on the scale it said 315.4 so I have lost 1 lb this week. For -6.6 lbs in total. So I really want a 2 lb loss per week but at least its 1 lb. I wanted to lose 10lbs by July 21, which I may do my weigh in on Saturday the 21st just so I know how close to my goal I am. I think every week I may move it up a day to get to a Wednesday weight in or Thursday, that way my cheater days should I choose are on weekends like next weekends wedding.

A car and a Hair coloring

I am in a program called more than wheels, they helped me to better my credit and build a positive payment history using their Bridge car (meaning bridge the gap while I was car-less) I have had my bridge car since August 5,2011 15 days before my mom passed and was able to drive to see her daily when she was moved to a rehabilitation hospital 35 miles away.. prior to that I could see her taking the Bus or my dad would get me because she was in her local hospital. She was so happy I finally got bridge car.

The Choices Were:

2010 Hyundai Accent with 25k

2010 Nissan Versa with 38k

2009 Nissan Versa with 31k

2010 Toyota Yaris with 41k

All for under 11,700

1st off the 2010 Nissan Versa was off the table as they said it been in an accident plus carfax said it been stolen and recovered, that car was the most money. Okay so anyways when they asked me to make 3 selections on cars my first 2 were toyota yaris and nissan versa so this was a plus to me. So I posted on FB and talked to my dad and to two mechanics (BIL, and a family friend) they both said no way to the Hyundai, though people on fb said good things because they had one. Both Mechanics said pick one Toyota Yaris even with the highest mileage on it, second choice 2009 Nissan Versa. This was also what my gut said, so I emailed More Than Wheels and said the Yaris was my choice, My car payment will be between 200-250, I pay 250 a month for the bridge car so nothing changes there but maybe insurance price.

The cool thing is my favorite color is blue. The dash board is a bit weird though everything is in the center, not in front of the driver, kind of futuristic I think.
Upon research online out of the 4 cars toyota seems to be the best drive and best pick up.


Onto other news, I highlighted my hair today and got a trim because next week one of my nieces are getting married so here is a picture of my newly caramelized tresses, excuse the un-styled  look I just went to the gym to get in at least 20 minutes of cardio and burned 310 calories.

on another note tomorrow is my weigh in so I will post about that,  I'm thinking of changing my weigh it day to Weds or Thurs I do not like Sunday

First Real Strength workout with personal trainer

So anyways the personal trainers name is Jillian, how do you like that. She is very nice she did my strength evaluation as well

So today's workout started with my cardio warm up, which I used the elliptical for 10 minutes and burned 110 calories

next was some stretches

now the Strength workout as follows:

Seated Chest press 19lbs for 20 reps- 22lbs for 15 reps

Wide Grip Pulldown (front) 2 sets 42 lbs for 15 reps

Seated Shoulder Press  20 lbs for 20 reps

Seated Arm Curl  12 lbs for 20 reps

V-Bar Pushdown 20 lbs for 20 reps

Seated Leg Press 120 lbs for 20 reps- 144lbs for 15 reps

Seated Leg Curl 34 lbs for 20 reps- 34lbs for 15 reps

Seated Leg Extension 28 lbs for 15 rebs

Modified Standing Calf raise 2 sets 15 reps

Crunch with legs elevated on stability ball 15 reps

reverse crunch 2 sets for 12 reps

Regular Crunch 15 reps

then my cool down of cardio in which I did 15 minutes on the treadmill at 2.0 and burned 98 calories

according the the Gym Machines I burned 208 calories according to myfitnesspal it says 304

It feels good to know know what to do and my next strength workout is planned already by ActivTrax and I will be doing it Monday, tomorrow I plan to swim

Strength Evaluation


Today I had my strength evaluation by a personal trainer at the YMCA so that I can use ActivTrax and keep track of my work outs today was basically to push me and see what the maximum I could do is, so without further ado:

Seated Chest Press 6 reps at 41 lbs

Wide Grip Pulldown 15 reps at 55 lbs  


Seated Leg Press 11 reps at 212 lbs


Seated Shoulder press 7 reps at 35 lbs


Seated Back Extension 8 reps at 105lbs


and I did 35 crunches in one minute


I need to meet with the personal trainer to do my first workout with the rest of the equipment, then after that I am on my own with ActivTrax. I need to call and schedule and appointment with the Personal Trainer hopefully Friday morning.

I warmed up 7 minutes on the treadmill and ended with 10 minutes on elliptical.

1. What is your favorite thing about Summer? I love that its light out later I hate picking my daughter up at day care at 5pm and it's already dark so that I feel like doing nothing

2. What is your favorite outdoor activity? going to the ocean, I love it.. I used to live at the ech and I miss it

3. If you had to choose, would you prefer to be too hot or too cold? too hot I think as long as there are pools and air conditioners available

4. Does your appetite increase or decrease during warmer months? Decrease, thats when also love eating cukes and bell peppers and such

5. What is your favorite seasonal Summer fruit?strawberries

6. Would you prefer to spend a hot summer day at the mall or at a swimming pool? I hate the mall so pool it is

7. Are you more likely to tan or sunburn? tan thanks to my Italian skin

8. How does your routine change when Summer begins? It changed because I was unable to take summer classes and worked more ft than pt

9. What is the temperature outside where you are today? it was in the 90's

10.  What is your favorite Summer holiday? Memorial day because that signifies that summer is beginning (of course the patriotic meaning too)

This morning I went back to the Y, I worked till 11pm so I did not make the water aerobics class I wanted to try since I didn't have to be at work till noon (which actually I got the day of because my client cancelled)  

So first thing first I signed up for activtrax and made an appointment with the personal trainer to do my strength and fitness assessment and to teach me how to actually use activtrax.
My appointment is Wednesday at 10am and I have the day off so that will be a good day.

Today I did 20 minutes on the treadmill at 2.5 mph, I only lasted 5 minutes on the elliptical after that, and then I swam laps for 40 minutes. According to my fitness pal I burned 919 calories

Sunday Weigh In

-0.8 so almost a pound down, since this was the Forth of July week I think its pretty good all together that is -5.6  My Non-Scale Victory is that my size 24 jeans that did not fit when I started fit again, my other few pairs of jeans are size 22 so that will be my NSV soon I hope, I have a mini goal to lose 10 lbs by July 21 which is my nieces wedding. My other mini goal is to lose 10% of my weight which will be 32lbs, I think I plan to go in 10% mini goals along the way.

I'm Beat

But I am sticking with my calories on My Fitness Pal, its so easy to do because I have it online and I have an app on my phone for it.

There was a mess up at the Gym so I did not get to start this week, I am going to try and get there tomorrow, there was a glitch with there computers so I couldn't pay my joiners fee. But I did walk 20 minutes Tuesday and Today.

I have been missing my mom sometimes I am at work taking care of someone who is 85+ and I think why did mom have to pass away at 72.. but she is my motivation to lose this weight

I am in a bathroom at a bar that I was at my friends gig and they had a full-size mirror, so I took the opportunity to take the pics I know they may be some what hard to see as the walls are black and I am wearing black, when I am down 20lbs I will try to take similar pics to compare.

So I am working 3-11 tonight if I haven't mentioned it before I am a caregiver to the elderly. (personal care aide,Companion, light-housekeeping and meal prep) Tonight its with a client that has dementia and has a caregiver with him 24 hrs a day, not much involved its a pretty easy shift I do every other weekend with him for the time being.

Anyways what I always do is buy a sub or some such  but I am bringing my food, a couple clementines, 1 or 2 string cheese, and a turkey sandwich in a pocket.Plus 2 water bottles instead of the 2 20 oz bottles of coke I bring every time.

Today I went to the grocery store and bought some healthier food, why is healthy food more expensive?

However I did buy my kids a pizza for lunch and had 2 slices still have much to go to reach my calorie goal so its all good, and I stopped at 2 even though I wanted more yay me!

A new scale

So I just bought a new scale at target so that I can record my weight on sunday!

I just decided over the weekend that I was going to start doing something about my weight regarding the way I have been eating, but I really don't have the most healthiest choices in my house so I am eating the correct calories but probably eating less than I could if I had healthier foods in the house so shopping Friday when I get payed. 

last week I had decided I needed to stop drinking coca cola classic and weaned myself to one can a day Monday was the last day I had a can. so that is no wiped off my grocery list. I am drinking tea with milk and sugar and green tea with sugar. But per another post I have discovered that I can use Truvia without bad effects so that will be on the grocery list.

I am drinking more water about 32 sometimes more


I see this new show extreme make over weight loss edition is starting on Sunday I think I need to watch this for motivation

Stevie- truvia, yogurt and whatever else

So I am allergic to non nutritive sweeteners ( sweet and Low, Equal, and even Splenda) so I have been searching for a sugar substitute that would not close my throat and make me nauseated and vomit, because if I am giving up my addiction of Coca Cola Classic then I need my tea, and I need not to have 3 sugars in said tea. so I tried truvia today, and low and behold it didn't make me sick like the other sugar substitutes, although I have been told by a friend to use the stevia instead that its 100% stevia which I am told that truvia isn't. Either way the trial was a success and will be added to the grocery list.



Another thing I feel I need to acquire a taste for is yogurt I just do not like the after taste, maybe it was the type I tried? It was so long ago that I am unsure of where to start with trying yogurt. I have been told to try Greek yogurt so I will give it a whirl, what can it hurt?

and smoothies for meal replacements I need to find some that I do indeed like because if I do elect to have the weight-loss surgery this is a must.

Even if I don't I think it would be a good tool towards weight loss.

I am now trying to decide which app I like the best for my food journal. I have to say I have liked weight watchers in the past but at the moment I just cannot afford it.

at the moment I'm using both the lose it and MFP app I like that it has a scanner so if it has a barcode I can scan on both, I have created a sparkpeople account but have not really used it

Starting Fresh June 2012

I keep getting off and on the wagon with weight loss

I have been so off it lately

Other things like work and school are going well towards my road of trying to find a new me

My mom passed away in August of 2011 and my life has been pretty yuck because of it, But like I said school is well I have completed 2 semesters towards my BSW that is great, I am also working as a personal care aide part-time during the school year but pretty much full-time this summer.

I had a physical with my primary care physician we that depo birth-control is a big fact in my weight gain.
both my Gyn and primary care wish for me to try the mirena IUD and if that fails I am going to do  sterilization, I do not want any more kiddos, I have an 18 yr old son and a 5 yr old daughter I am good, plus in December I will be 35, not in any type of committed relationship, I am good with no more babies besides I may be a grandma anyways we will find out with DNA when the baby is born.

Anyways the theory is that now I am off depo hopefully I can shed some pounds, also am joining at the Y again on Friday when I get paid I can pay the membership fee's and start up, I think swimming at first and some treadmill walking.

I also went to a seminar for bariatric surgery, and I have a consult on July 25, I do not know if this is the route I want to take but I do want to be informed greatly. A friend did it and said the only regret is she didnt do it sooner
